About this Speaker
Sophie believes in the power of people-focused leadership. Holding many leadership positions at community, industry and university levels, she is creative and strategic, identifying areas for organisational growth. As a community-builder, she established NFP The Legal Forecast in Victoria. She has also worked at Janders Dean as an Analyst. Sophie has been recognised for spearheading cross-disciplinary initiatives and models enabling collaboration. These include re-designing Monash University Law School's Peer Mentor Program, with the model adopted across the university and creating 'Race To The Future', which challenged the hackathon format to enable creativity in the legal industry. In 2018, she was awarded Lawyers Weekly Women In Law Awards, 'Law Student of the Year.' In 2019, she was a selected participant in global legal innovation program 'LawWithOutWalls', with her team winning and presenting at the University of Miami, Florida. Recently, she contributed a book chapter on connecting Service Design and student wellbeing to LexisNexis' 'Wellness in Law: Making Wellness Core Business.'
Sophie is currently a KPMG Consultant in Commercial Law and Founder of 'The Curious Connector.'
